Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
Pull the sender wire off and ground it. With the key in the "on" position, the gauge should peg if it is a sender/float issue. If it pegs, pull the sender. If the float didn't sink, you can Ohm test the sender... (+) to sender terminal and (-) to top of sender housing. By moving the float rod you s...

Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
Thanks Wally. Although she still has some issues with the front suspension, I actually got to take her out for a brief ride last weekend. The new narrower and properly inflated tires made a big difference in the way the truck drives. Fuel gauge is the only one not working, so I'll check the float. I...

Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
Good evening fellas, Haven't been on in a while since I have been working too much and spending most free time working on the PowerWagon. I have a friend who is a retired 35 year Mopar mechanic with a really nice shop (with lift) in his back yard. He has helped immensely and been really reasonable o...

My guess would be aftermarket. I have never seen them before either.

Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
This may sound dumb... but how do those "FREE" wheeling Lockout hubs work? Do you lift the lever and then rotate it 360 degrees to LOCK the hub? Exactly. Pull both levers out then rotate to the locked position and snap them back in place. They have "free" inscribed into one side of the lever and "l...

Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
nice truck ! but grb, you are the only guy here with the answer to the original question: what's it worth ? ? Lol, I paid too much. But, it is the truck I have been looking for a long time to find. My grand dad had one of these and I remember riding around in it with him. College for the kids all p...

Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
Well, I finally got to spend a couple hours getting to know the old girl today. No repair work done except fixing the loose ignition switch. Just crawled around under her and gave her a good wash and vac. She runs a little rough, but I found a new set of points and a condenser in the glove box. Prev...

Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
Damn, I should have drove it first, so I could give you a heads up on all that. Seems like it's all stuff that is pretty normal for a truck that has sat around more than being driven. Hopefully they will be simple fixes.. Hey, not your fault. I knew it would likely need some work. Maybe not as much...

Good advice.Jims68 wrote:Start with the brakes... because everything you do after that will "need" a test drive. So, you may as well be safe in stopping. Have FUN!

Re: Crewcab, What's it worth?
Power Wagon finally arrived today! Good News: The transport driver didn't drop her off the truck (but it was touch and go for a couple minutes.) He got it a bit sideways backing it off and had to stop twice to adjust the ramps. My wife got to laughing at me because at one point I couldn't watch. She...
