Ok i got it figured out. I had to slot the slotted holes in the engine side brackets about an inch up further than what they were and it slid right in, cut the factory manual trans bracket just have to get the trans member fabed up and hopefully its smooth sailing from there.

Ok guys either I'm missing something of something is misunderstood. I have then engine brackets from the 84 d250 and new idolaters for the 68. I have bolted one mount or the other and it makes no difference it pushes the motor off center. If someone could just run out and take a couple measurements ...

i could be wrong but i dont think so all the motor swapping ive done in my bogger the small blocks have all dropped in no issues. the engine is a 318 out of an 84 d250. going in a factory 318 68

engine bracket dimensions

Hey guys can someone grab me a quick measurment for the bracket bolted to the block to the isolator?

from the isolator surface up to a center point of a bolt on the block

ok. the motor going in has a rear sump, it will get lowered so ill just be sure to keep an eye on it. eventually the truck will be getting a newer hemi but im ready to get it on the road for now and out of the side yard lol

thats perfect they both look to be longer than mine. looks like ill be fabricating some. can you get me a measurement from the bolt hole on the block to the base of the bracket where the mount sits?

do these trucks require front sump oil pans??

hey guys needs some help, my 68 had no motor and trans when i bought. ive got a donor 318/727 out of an 84 w250. ive got new rubber mounts for the 68 but it seems both the block mounts need to be longer? if i mount one or the other the motor is off center in the frame. the 68 originally had a 318. a...

Thanks Hobcobble. Im going to make mounts for the original 84 member work its pretty close. ill have motor mounts today hopefully everything slides in. ive got both the original brackets on the 84 with a couple hunks of 2x4 in between. i dont have any of the originals being it came with no motor or ...

well she finally made it in the shop, got the donor motor and trans setting in it. Ive got a few questions, motor and trans came out of a 84 ram, the 68 was a manual trans. What motor mounts do i need? Drill holes and make the 84 work with the 68 mounts? or order 68 mounts? Trans crossmember?? anybo...

im right there with you Bob im looking to do the same swap, a write up would be awesome ive seen a few members do the swap. id like to do mine in conjunction with a mustang 2 and air ride. The biggest things id like to know are ECM TCM controller options along with wiring, not too worrid about motor...

Snapped some more pictures of the truck the other day. Wondering if steel wheels from that era are all the same? Ive got a 67 chevy I could use a couple wheels from to complete a set on the dodge then find some wide whites for it.

Thanks John hes 11 months old purebred. the whole trip cost me around 1800, between the truck, fuel, food, oil change on my buddies truck and bearing seals and some lights on another buddies trailer. You just dont see dodges this era in Michigan, nor ones this clean!
