Re: Finally managed to upload a video of me driving my D100
Been there, done that, camped in those mountains - fabulous country!!! The trippy thing is, there is no stripe down the middle of the road - only one on each side by the edge, so u learn to stay to the "side" of the "one lane" roads thru the mountains. Even went to "Hell" while I was there. h...

Re: Finally managed to upload a video of me driving my D100
Thanks for the comments. I have had plans on doing more drives in the truck with cameras mounted on. This one the camera was mounted to the mirror post but I have to figure out some more mounting options aswell. I did have one on the rear bumper aswell but it did not give very good shots. I also tri...

Re: Finally managed to upload a video of me driving my D100
Thank you, yes there was a car show that day. That mountain you see is locally called "Sukkertoppen" (translates in to Sugar top) as it looks a bit like this coneshapes they made with sugar way back in the olden times: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d1/Cukrov%C3%A1_homole_001.jpg?1...

Re: 8 lug rims
I just got hold of a couple of 8-lug rims for my W200 These are older wheels and maybe they are not in production anymore but you can probably get them cheap at a junkyard. This one is a 16", I think these where called chrome spoke wheels or wagon wheels. It fits on my W200 so it should probably fit...

Here is a small update on this one. I did take the ladderrack off to get it inside the garage: https://images20.fotki.com/v1666/photos/6/3894266/16128173/IMG_20190518_200454-vi.jpg https://images34.fotki.com/v1522/photos/6/3894266/16128173/IMG_20190518_200510-vi.jpg As you can see by these pictures,...

Re: Longbed sweptside demensions
I hope it's ok that I am sort of hijacking this thread as I got a very similar question. The wheelbase went from 122" to 128", what are the differences to look out for and what do one need to convert or adapt between the two? I'm asking because I want to convert my 65 pieplate w200 firetruck in to a...

Re: 1965/67 W200 Powerwagon firetruck
Thanks for the info guys. I have no idea what year van the wheels are from, only thing I know is that they came off a chevy van (most likley a Starcraft conversion van as they where very popular here some 20-25 years ago) as the van is gone to the rusty heaven like most of them have a long time ago....

Re: 1965/67 W200 Powerwagon firetruck
Thanks guys. No updates on any of my trucks since the last one on this as the nice weather we had turned in to winter again and we also had a death in the family and that disrupted my plans on working on the trucks last weekend. Anyone know if 8-lug rims from a Chevy van will fit on to this? I can g...

Re: 1965/67 W200 Powerwagon firetruck
Thanks, yes it does need some bigger sheetmetalparts. The hood would be the biggest part needed. I am actually thinking that I may need to buy another truck from the US as I want a 4x4 pickup and I could have wanted to convert the firetruck into a sort of panelvan and getting it lower and as a 2wd w...

Re: 1965/67 W200 Powerwagon firetruck
Third time is the charm, I went togheter with a colleague of mine on april 7th. We worked on it for a number of hours but did not get it to run. We had to return home but I took quite a number of pictures of it that day: https://images47.fotki.com/v1660/photos/6/3894266/16128173/IMG_2932-vi.jpg http...

Re: 1965/67 W200 Powerwagon firetruck
That is a unique truck!! Would be cool to bring one back to the states. Now that is an idea, afterall I took my D100 from the states so maybe I should export one back to keep the balance right :Thumbsup doesnt look that bad for rust. I bet it runs great! It does have quite a bit of rust on it, the ...

Re: 1965/67 W200 Powerwagon firetruck
Thanks guys, it will take a few weeks untill the weather clears up enough that I can go ahead and get it home. I'm not driving that thing on ancient crossplys in the conditions we got right now. Firetruck are usully in very good condition and this one was probably also very nice untill the firedepar...

1965/67 W200 Powerwagon firetruck
One early Saturday morning in Januray I came across advert on finn.no (norwegian site for advertising things for sale, similar to craigslist) for a 1967 Dodge W200 powerwagon firetruck. It was only 2,5 hours drive away from my home. I rang up the seller but was too late, someone else had already sai...

Re: Photos of your truck being a truck
I have not posted this one here before I think. This was last year, I was going trough my garage and cleaned it out of old wheels and tires. In the end I had almost 50 complete wheels (rim and tire) that needed to be separated and thrown away. Here is my truck loaded up with old tires on the way to ...

Re: Return of the Slant 6?
What? An automaker that is considering making a new "fossil" engine? I thought they had all gone over to battery operated drivelines or that may just be that the automotive news we get over here in "electric wonderland" is angled on how everyone is switching over to this newfangled thing they call b...
