Re: 1970 D100 leaf springs

Bought 2 60x2.5" springs, cut and drilled them and now I'm adding 2 on each side in the back and 1 more each side up front.

Re: 1970 D100 leaf springs

Thanks, that answers my questions. I think I'll pull the rear leafs and add a leaf, then check the ride height. My front springs are not standard leafs, the main leaf is thicker in the middle than on the ends, I'll have to see what I can do there. Just by looking at your picture I can tell that your...

1970 D100 leaf springs

I have a 1970 D100 short box that was a 6 and now has a 440. We pulled a 19' Retro trailer easily but now have traded that for a 24' Retro. The new trailer sits higher and weighs about #1500 more. We pulled it home (350 miles) and it pulled great. I have air bags but want to bring the truck back to ...

Re: Power steering

Sent a message to Easy on Facebook and he answered right away. I have more questions for him and he wants more info from me. I have an 'IDIDIT' column already installed so might be easier. I like the idea of a high vol/pres pump being available as I have a lot of weight up front and big tires.

Re: Power steering

Thanks for the info guys. I've researched it all too and was just wondering if there were any problems with either kit, CPP or Easy. I read the threads on the E-Bay Easier stuff and am not interested. The electric is tempting but not for me. I was leaning towards Easy due to his choice of pumps. I h...

Re: Window Gaskets

Got it from Decade Auto. I e-mailed them and they got back to me right away. They said to install it in the truck and then put the glass in. I followed their instructions last night and it worked! The rubber fits the windshield frame! I have to call the glass guys now. .... You're never too old to l...

Re: Window Gaskets

Just got one in and it's too big. Think I'll order from the Steelrubber link above. Looks like nice stuff. Twice the price but I guess you pay for what you get. Image
